Fast Growing OTT to Hit $2B in ’22

OTT is now the fastest-growing local ad channel. The medium will surpass $2B in total spending this year.

The Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions of the US are pacing that growth over the past 2 years.

As for the top spending categories, home services ranks first, followed by automotive, restaurants, medical, and financial rounding out the top five.

Local U.S. over-the-top (OTT) advertising will reach just over $2 billion this year — up by just over $1 billion from 2020’s $991 million, projects BIA Advisory Services, in a white paper on regional and business vertical OTT trends.That translates to an average compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 43% between 2020 and 2022 across all the regions analyzed.
