Mind If We Track You?

Gamers stand alone when it comes to user privacy and data sharing

In a recent report published by Adjust Mobile App Trends, users with additional privacy features (iOS 14.5 and later) who are given the option to opt out of data sharing and tracking are remaining steadfast in maintaining their privacy. The industry-wide average for opting-in, according to the report, is 25%. This number may be misleading, as the gamers are much more likely to opt-in, pulling the weighted average much higher. Gaming (with a 30% opt-in rate) is the only major app area where opt-in rates are higher than the overall average.

Users of Fintech and Health & Fitness apps are very private; 89% of these users choose to opt out of sharing and tracking. Likewise, 90% of users on publications’ apps are opting out.
